Chanel; a French privately held luxury company that focuses on high fashion and ready-made clothes, luxury products, and accessories, has launched an online pop-up store in Hong Kong. This is in response to an increase in online shopping amid quarantine, featuring beauty offerings, which includes makeup, skincare, fragrance as well as new product launches and limited online exclusives on the platform.

The platform has been launched just in time for Mother’s Day and is set to run until the end of the year.

At the moment, the e-store stocks the brand’s popular perfumes such as Chanel N°5, makeup including a range of Rouge Allure Velvet lipsticks and the popular Hydra Beauty skincare collection.

While many beauty retail shops are closed down due to the novel Coronavirus, Chanel’s brave move into online pop-ups is a new business varying strategy as industry players look at ways to counteract severe losses from in-store sales, with e-commerce being the focus.
